Course Description

The FI(A)-IR or IRI(A) – Instrument Rating Instructor course aims to qualify you as an instructor for instrument flight training. Our experienced instrument flight instructors will provide you with the knowledge you need to pass on your acquired skills in instrument flying to your students, both in the aircraft and in the simulator.

The FI(A)-IR / IRI(A) course primarily focuses on deepening the procedures described in the IFR Training Manual. The practical training emphasizes familiarization with the cockpit, aircraft systems, and IFR procedures, as well as the standardization of training methods.

The training is divided into a theoretical part (10 hours) and a practical part (5 hours), provided you already hold a flight instructor license FI(A) according to EASA-FCL. If you do not hold an FI(A) instructor rating, a total of 35 hours of theory and 10 hours of practice is required.
